Joseph M. HeinzenPresident
Business Development, Engineering and Professional Services Joe Heinzen, president, founded e-Convergence Solutions in March, 2003. He has held executive management positions at Comstor, Inc, DEC, Data General, Unisys and Verizon. His responsibilities at Comstor included the creation of professional service products for the channel and management of the organization's integration and engineering groups. At Verizon he was responsible for the completion of large-scale outsourcing program solutions and proposals. He has also managed Verizon’s consulting and professional services division. His career record includes commercial and federal government market expertise and an extensive background in software engineering and project management. Mr. Heinzen’s current responsibilities include selecting security, presence and convergence partners and developing value-added professional service products and support programs, as well as overseeing e-Convergence Solutions’s national pre- and post-sales activities. Mr. Heinzen studied computer science at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Ruth SorrellsVice President of Sales
Operations Management, Sales and Service Delivery. Ruth Sorrells has over a decade of experience managing P&Ls and growing business. Her eleven-plus years in the staffing sector included corporate national account service delivery and field service delivery to major accounts as head of the Northern Virginia area. Subsequently, she worked at an executive level in corporate governance at a major non-profit organization. She spent five years in the business process outsourcing industry with direct accountability for operations and service delivery as well as sales. Throughout her career, her client list spanned industries, including pharmaceutical, legal, insurance, media/technology and others.
She received her BA from Haverford College and her executive MBA in September 2006 at The College of William & Mary Mason School of Business.

Philip R. ShumwayDirector, Channel Sales - Southwest
Phil’s background is comprised of over 25 years in sales, sales management, and operations management in small, medium and Fortune 100 companies. Following a 10-year active duty United States Air Force career spent in F-4 squadrons and as an instructor pilot in the T-38, his business career began in high tech with field sales and marketing positions at Computer Sciences Corporation and Sperry Flight Systems. He spent 12 years with Apple Computer, serving as Director of Sales for multiple states, National Sales Director for a key distributor, and Director of Sales Operations for the U.S. from 1993 to 1996 for 3 of Apple’s 4 business divisions, supporting growth to over $8 billion in sales. Phil was responsible for starting a channel sales division at Unisys Corporation and was recruited as CEO of a small software company in the labor management arena, where he was instrumental in taking the company public via a reverse merger. He was Vice President Sales / Western U. S. for Fujitsu Computer Systems, Inc., for 6 years growing revenue of mobile and enterprise level server products to over $50 million.
Phil received his undergraduate degree in Business Management from Bowling Green State University, and his MBA from the University of Northern Colorado. He is a retired Lt. Col, USAFR, currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Child Crisis Center for greater Phoenix He is married, with two grown children. |

Warren MillsDirector, Channel Sales - Northwest
Warren Mills is a business professional with a 28-year career in channel management, technology sales, management, strategic business development, and corporate leadership.
He served as President of MicroAge Solutions, and Senior VP of MicroAge, Inc. during the 1990’s helping them grow a compounded 30% over the 8 years he was a member of the senior leadership team. MicroAge was a Fortune 500 technology distributor. Warren has owned his own technology reseller business.
As CEO of Advantiv, a software company specializing in integrated decision analysis for large IT projects in the public and private sectors and higher education, he led two private placements, raising over $1 million in capital. Advantiv was one of the first software companies to provide hosted (SaaS)) collaboration for large IT projects.
Warren is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, and was a decorated officer in the United States Air Force. |
